Fit Followers is a recent addition to my site that will serve to recognize people I know who are truly an inspiration to me. These are friends in my community who have set goals for themselves and have attained them through nothing short of sheer fortitude and determination. You may recognize their faces from my classes or from the local area. They are inspiring beyond their fitness. I hope my introducing you to them motivates you too.

What does a normal week’s workout look like for you?
Monday: Weights and Cardio
Tuesday: Bike ride (20+ miles)
Thursday: Get my butt kicked by Linda 🙂
Friday: Bike ride
Saturday/Sunday: Either hiking with friends, more biking or just cooking, drinking and eating.
Why do you workout? I started working out in June 2015. I felt unhappy with how clothing was fitting, how I was feeling and what I was looking at in the mirror. Also, I had my best friend’s wedding coming up the following year in Jamaica. I had a bridesmaid dress to fit into!
What motivates you? My boyfriend has a beautiful body. I wanted one too! Once I started dropping inches and weight and felt stronger, I was on such a roll. By the time the wedding came around, I had lost 20 lbs and was at my lowest weight since I was 18 years old!
What quality or characteristic do you possess that makes you most proud or confident? My outgoing personality and love for interaction with people.
Future fitness goals: I don’t have an upcoming wedding to push me back to that goal weight, so I guess my current personal goal would be to lose 5 lbs before bikini season arrives in 6 weeks. Also running in a 5k again this year is another goal.
