This is Desiree. She is a member of my Small Wins Program who has had great results! Desiree lost weight, gained muscle mass and increased her overall fitness level. Here is a little more about what motivates Desiree to be at her best.
Occupation: Hair Stylist
What does a normal week’s workout look like for you? I belong to Linda’s Small Wins Program which takes place at her home gym. I work with Linda 3 times a week. I also try to walk or run 2 times a week.
Why do you workout? I work out to stay fit. As I get older, I have realized that regular workouts keep my muscles lose. My bones don’t creak as much and I feel more energetic throughout the whole day.
What motivates you? Definitely looking in the mirror and seeing a difference motivates me as well as feeling like my clothes fit the way they should.
What fitness related goal have you achieved over the last few weeks? I have definitely felt stronger and more fit! I have always been into fitness and have participated in so many different fitness programs. I get bored easily with the same workout. I need to change it up and Linda’s workouts are always different and challenging. I have gotten A LOT stronger since doing Small Wins. I love how Linda makes me increase the amount of weight I lift even when I think I can’t. If I was doing it on my own, I would still be at the same weight. I am really starting to see definition in my muscles. It’s been a long time since I have seen definition in my arms, shoulders and back and I LOVE that! I have lost 10 pounds and 6 inches. Because I have a hypothyroid condition, losing weight is always tough and a slow process for me. Linda has shown me a different way to track my calories and fat intake that I hadn’t done before working with her. That was an eye-opener.
What quality or characteristic do you possess that makes you most proud or confident? Sticking with this workout program makes me feel proud. Because I do get bored easily, Linda’s style of training works great for me. It is fun and always different. My confidence comes from people noticing a difference. This just solidifies for me that the hard work is paying off!
What are your future fitness goals? I plan to continue to get stronger and toner. I will continue with what I’ve set out to do.
